Camp Smith Hawaii Wedding in the middle of a storm
This Hawaii Wedding Photographer had the great pleasure of photographing a wedding at Camp Smith with the weather forecast calling for a tropical storm! Luckily we didn’t get the brunt of the storm (lots and lots of rain though!) until the end of the night.
We started the day at the Ilikai for getting ready photos for the bridal party. Lots of fun, laughter, and details- a dream for this photographer! We had balloons, hats, and lots of lush greenery to use as backdrops- did I mention how much I love props as a photographer and how much I love a clean room to take your detail photos in? 🙂 It really helps speed up the day, and makes you look even more amazing. With our beautiful bride and her ladies- we were able to head down to the lobby of the Ilikai and take some great photos with the balloons too and we headed out to Camp Smith for the reception and the ceremony. It was some dry skies and the sun was trying to peek out!
The rest of the night went smoothly, full of ooh’s and aah’s for the bride and groom. We were even able to get some great photos before the rain started falling. The bride did forget something back at the hotel, and had to turn around to go get it- so we did loose some time with bride and groom pictures- but were able to find some quiet moments with everyone being flexible and going with the flow.
With beautiful views overlooking Pearl Harbor and Aiea, it truly was an amazing day for K + M and I am so glad I got to be a part of their special day.
